Recent La Valencia Hotel Review: "My wife and I had a lot to celebrate- my wife's birthday and our very first getaway from our now 2 year old daughter. We have visited La Jolla many times before, but never stayed at the La Valencia. Needless to say, it was a major treat for us. From right at check-in, our experience was 5 star. We arrived in the afternoon, our orig. room wasn't ready,  but we were immediately upgraded to a 10 floor Ocean View. The room was amazing- ocean from the balcony, mountains from the window. At this point, the points I scored with my wife were off the charts! She was so excited, as was I. And to add to the "romantic factor" a wedding ceremony was just about underway right below our balcony. Overall, just a fantastic, relaxing, experience at one classy joint. Other Highlights: Great pool area (open 24hrs/day)- jacuzzi, great couples-lounge chairs and a ping pong table. The Sky Room Restaurant- the meal was absolutely amazing. The wait staff, the chefs- a solid experience. The Maid staff- super friendly, super respectful Two huge thumbs up to the classy and historic La Valencia Hotel!"
