Recent Sheraton La Jolla Review: "Had a nice time @ this hotel. For convenience, I opted to pay for the on-site parking, although there are some limited off-site options available on the little street in front of the hotel. The "traditional" room that I stayed in had a view of the parking lot and the local post office, so I wasn't really expecting too much at that point. Not what you  would expect for a Sheraton when going to your room from the parking area, as it consists of about five free standing 2-story bldgs., similar to a condo complex. Room was nice and clean, bed was comfortable, had a nice big flat panel TV, and the bathroom was nice, although the toilet had a really loud & powerful flush, which was kind of strange. Happily, that was the only thing that made you go, "Huhr". We went to explore the grounds and it was very nice and had a relaxing vibe. Hotel wasn't very crowded at all. Pool area was nice, but it was a little rainy the weekend we were there, so didn't get to enjoy it, but did see a few people in the jacuzzin each evening. Had a nice little gym area and a little stream running through a nice grassy area. Didn't get to try "Humphrey's", the hotel restaurant, but the menu looked pretty good. We did grab a drink and a quick bite @ the bar & grill, located just off of the lobby, when returning to the hotel one evening, and I had a salad with chicken and the best sesame type dressing...it was really good, so had to mention it. As mentioned, it wasn't what I initially expected for a Sheraton, but it turned out to be a really nice weekend and we really enjoyed the hotel. I would definitely recommend it to friends and would stay here again. We were visiting USD for a "family weekend", which was just a short drive away on the 5 fwy., and this hotel really worked for us."
